Job Description

Taco Time, located in Woodgrove Mall in Nanaimo, British Columbia, is a well-established Mexican fast-food restaurant serving tacos, crisp burritos, and kids’ meals. Due to business growth and operational needs, we are seeking a Permanent Full-time Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team.

We offer: C$36.75/hr (30-40hrs/wk) with 4% paid vacation.

Work Location: 4F-6631 Island Highway North, Nanaimo B.C. V9T 4T7

Language of work: English

Job Requirement:

• Secondary (high) school completion.
• Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality, or food and beverage service management is an asset.
• At least 1 years of experience in the food service sector.

Job Duties:

• Assist in planning, organizing and supervising daily restaurant operations.
• Ensure efficient food preparation and quality customer service.
• Assist with recruiting, training and supervising staff.
• Prepare work schedules and monitor staff performance.
• Maintain inventory and order food and restaurant supplies.
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• Monitor sales, control costs and support overall restaurant operations.
