 Mainpower Electrical Ltd. is a Surrey-based electrical contracting company with over a decade of experience providing reliable electrical services to residential and commercial clients across the Lower Mainland. Due to ongoing projects and operational requirements, the company is currently hiring one full-time Electrician. The successful candidate will work at various job sites.

Position: Electrician

Type of employment: Full-Time; Permanent

Work Location: Various Locations in Lower Mainland and/or as per company’s contract and demand 

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $38.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities

• Install electrical controls and panel boxes
• Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes
• Professionalism in customer service
• Keep maintenance reports and documentation
• Splice, join and connect wires
• Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits
• Determine appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults
• Connect power to audio and visual equipment
• Install surface mount and/or overhead cables
• Estimate costs and materials
• Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

Job Requirements

• Completion of secondary school

• Completion of 2-3 years of experience as electrician.
• Trade certification would be an asset but not mandatory.
• Good communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical abilities
• Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
• Able to work well independently and within a team.
