Job Description
Fat Mao Noodles is located in the heart of Chinatown, Vancouver, BC.
We are a Modern Asian Noodle bar with focus on Thai-Chinese soup noodles.
Opened in 2015, it is the third restaurant of chef Angus An.
We are currently looking for a permanent and full-time Food and Beverage Service Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a restaurant
- Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
- Recruit staff and oversee staff training
- Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare bar menus and serve drinks
- Selects and purchases liquor and other supplies
- May plan and create new drink menus
- Establish work schedules and procedures of bar staff
- Ensures the bar is well-stocked and clean
- Tracks customer behavior and sales
- Maintains budget and monitors costs
- Maintains drink recipe documentation
- Oversees planning for special events
- Overseas staff, including bartenders and barbacks, and, in some cases, bouncers, wait staff, and/or kitchen staff as well.
- Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
Skills and Experiences:
- Completion of a college.
- Must have a minimum 3 years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience
- Must have strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills
Language:
- Communication skills in English
Compensation and Benefit: $35.00/hour, plus tips/gratuities, staff meals, extended Sunlife medical plan (after 1-year continuous full-time work), 4% Vacation Pay
