Carpenter (NOC 72310)

2708123 Ontario Inc. is a Toronto-based construction and renovation company specializing in residential window and door installation, finish carpentry, framing, and renovation services.

We are seeking to hire a qualified Carpenter for a permanent, full-time position to joint our team. The candidate is to perform the following duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications and work orders
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and install wood and other building materials
• Install and replace residential windows and doors
• Perform finish carpentry work including installation of trim, casing, baseboards, mouldings and interior finishing components
• Build, repair and renovate residential structures and components
• Perform framing and related structural carpentry work
• Repair drywall and complete finishing work as required
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
• Maintain and safely operate hand tools, power tools and carpentry equipment
• Follow workplace safety procedures and applicable building codes
• Work independently with minimal supervision while coordinating with other trades on job sites.

Job Requirements

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• at least 1 year of relevant work experience as a carpenter working independently or under minimal supervision
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and specifications
• Experience with residential renovations, finish carpentry, framing, and installation of windows and doors
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools
• Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and construction best practices
• Proficient level of English is the means of communication with the team and customers

Compensation package: wage of $37.00 per hour with a workload of 40 hours per week at a min, plus WSIB coverage and two weeks of paid vacation per year or 4% vacation pay.
