Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Superintendent to join our construction team. This role supports the management and coordination of daily on-site construction activities, monitors project progress, and provides regular updates to the Head of Operations and Project Owner.

The successful candidate will have strong construction knowledge, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of construction workers, subcontractors, labourers, and other site personnel.
• Establish methods to meet construction schedules and coordinate work activities with subcontractors, project teams, architects, and engineers.
• Oversee daily site operations and monitor project progress to ensure work is completed on schedule.
• Assign tasks, monitor productivity, resolve work problems, and recommend measures to improve efficiency and quality.
• Coordinate and requisition materials, equipment, supplies, and deliveries as required.
• Train workers on job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Enforce health and safety requirements and address unsafe site conditions.
• Inspect workmanship and materials to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, codes, and quality standards.
• Prepare and provide work progress reports and project updates to the Head of Operations and Project Owner.
• Identify and resolve construction delays, scheduling conflicts, material shortages, and other site-related issues.

Qualifications:

• Completion of Secondary School
• Leadership for Safety Excellence (LSE),
• First aid and CPR Level C
• Telehandler Operator license
• Forklift operator license
• Fall protection certification

Experience:

• Minimum 1 Year of experience in construction site supervision, construction coordination, or a related role.
