Job Description

Sushi Preparer

We are looking for a reliable Sushi Preparer to join our restaurant team. The successful candidate will assist with preparing sushi ingredients, assembling menu items and keeping the kitchen clean and organized.

Language: English
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required
Experience: Experience is an asset; training will be provided

Main duties:

• Wash, cut and portion vegetables, seafood and other sushi ingredients
• Prepare sushi rice and organize ingredients for daily service
• Assemble basic sushi rolls, trays and take-out orders according to restaurant standards
• Refill ingredients and keep the food preparation station organized
• Receive deliveries and properly store food and supplies
• Wash utensils, dishes and food preparation equipment
• Clean and sanitize counters, appliances, storage areas and floors
• Follow food safety, sanitation and safe food-handling procedures
• Remove garbage and assist other kitchen staff as required

The position requires reliability, attention to cleanliness, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
