Job Description

Anand Masonry Ltd. is currently hiring 1 Tile Setter to be a part of our growing team. We are seeking a motivated individual with positive attitude who will complement our team.

Position: Tile Setter

Number of positions: 1

Type of employment: Permanent; Full-time

Salary: $30.00 per hour

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible

Work Location: Surrey, BC, and various other job sites in the Lower Mainland area (BC), Greater Vancouver, Fraser Valley and/or as per company’s contracts

Job Duties:

• Prepare, measure and mark surface to be covered
• Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires and brackets.
• Prepare, apply and spread mortar, cement, glue, or other adhesives using hand trowel
• Set tiles or marble to walls, floors, ceilings, and roof decks.
• Align and straighten tile using levels, squares and straightedges
• Measure and cut tiles using hand and power cutting tools and fit around obstacles and openings
• Cut, polish and install marble and granite
• Arrange tiles per the design plans
• Remove & replace damaged tiles

Job Requirements:

• Completion of Secondary school is required.
• Completion of 3-4-year apprenticeship program or combination of over 3 years of experience in trade
• Ability to communicate in English.
