Wage: $54.5/hour
Hours: 30 hours per week

Job Description:
The Global Transporation Manager will be responsible for supervising day-to-day operations, ensuring teamwork, and maintaining good relationships with local and overseas clients.
Details duties as outlined below:
- Plan, organize, direct and evaluate the daily operations of the company.
- Monitor key performance indicators and implement continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational and financial objectives.
- Oversee quotations and billing to Customers.
- Negotiate freight rates with air/ocean/trucking providers.
- Prepare Reports for senior management on a regular basis.
- Target potential leads.
- Resolve problem shipments and take the lead on handling difficult clients.
- Oversee the setting of transportation service rates and monitor revenue.
- Supervise profit and loss reports.
- Request Quotations from Truckers and provide Quotations to clients.
- Maintain good customer and vendor relationships.
-Identify new business opportunities and support business development initiatives to expand the company's transportation services.
-Supervise, train, evaluate and provide leadership to transportation and logistics staff.
Qualifications:
- English Proficiency is required. Proficiency in Chinese would be an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
- Excellent communication skills, knowing when to step in and handle escalations, build rapport with staff, management, and vendors.
- Ability to clearly explain and detail Canada shipment issues to overseas agents.
- Strong knowledge and command of Air/Ocean/Trucking operations.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics and transportation operations, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Self-Starter with good sense of priority and organization.
- Knowledge of CBSA Customs Tariff, Canada Customs procedures, working with Customs Brokers, CARM, E-Manifest, ACI, general knowledge of USA AMS and ISF, and Cross-Border shipments is required.
- Detail-oriented with excellent Communication and Problem-Solving Skills, able to provide customer service and handle difficult customers.
- Strong sense of responsibility, team player, highly organized, and fast learner.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication skills under pressure.
- Diploma or degree in Transportation, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
