Employment Location: Various locations in Canada and US with business based at 7727 155A Street Surrey BC Canada V3S 3P2 and Yard address 17677 James Hill Drive Surrey, BCV3S 4C3

Main Duties:

Operate a truck to transport products to and from specified destinations.

Load, secure and unload cargo

Prepare, receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods

Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment

Perform brake adjustments

Perform emergency roadside repairs

Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip

Maintains telephone contact with central dispatch to receive delivery/pick up instructions or changes in the schedule

Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

Requirements:

•Valid Class 1 driver's License and Air Brake endorsement or Equivalent

•Secondary School education is required

•Excellent driving skills including ability to drive in all seasonal road conditions

•Ability to cross border into US (Valid Passport/immigration document)

• Professional under stressful situations & must be able to work with little supervision

Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses

Driver’s License (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement

Documentation knowledge

Driver logbook

Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)

Communication systems experience

Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment

Benefits

We would try to be as flexible as possible when it comes to the work schedule for our truck drivers.

As per Canada labour code for highway drivers overtime rate of 1.5 times the regular pay is applicable after 60 hours of work per week. Vacation pay is 4% of the gross salary.
