Insurance Advisor

Gurman Insurance is looking for a dedicated and client-focused Insurance Advisor to join our team in Brampton, Ontario.

Location: 73 Mincing Trail, Brampton, ON L7A 4S9
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Wage: $37.00–$40.00 per hour
Hours: 30–40 hours per week
Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Duties

• Assess clients’ insurance needs and recommend suitable coverage options.
• Explain insurance policies, coverage, benefits, exclusions, and terms to clients.
• Calculate premiums and prepare insurance quotes based on client requirements.
• Sell and service personal and commercial insurance products.
• Prepare and process insurance applications, policy changes, and renewals.
• Ensure all required forms and supporting documents are completed accurately.
• Review existing policies and recommend appropriate changes or additional coverage.
• Respond to client inquiries and provide timely assistance with insurance matters.
• Assist clients with claims and communicate with insurers when required.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure insurance documentation is complete and up to date.

Requirements

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 2 to less than 3 years of relevant insurance experience.
• Valid RIBO Level 1 licence is required.
• Experience with property and casualty, commercial, individual, group, automobile, home, life, health, disability, or other insurance products is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service and client relationship skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Must be able to pass a criminal record check.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position at our Brampton office. The role may involve flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as required.
