Job Description
THE ROLE
NRGTEK Construction Corp. is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead and coordinate the administrative, financial, and field operations supporting our construction projects in the Vernon and North Okanagan area.
This is a management position for someone who understands how to bring together people, projects, suppliers, resources, and finances to keep construction operations running efficiently.
POSITION SNAPSHOT
Position: Operations Manager – NOC 10019
Wage: $63-$68 per hour
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Work Location: Vernon & North Okanagan Area
Employment: Permanent, Full-time

WHAT YOU'LL LEAD
- Oversee company operations and ensure efficient execution of construction projects.
- Balance day-to-day performance and project schedules, priorities, and resource needs.
- Coordinate departments, field teams, and external service providers to support overall operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve operations via management practices, staff development, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with management on business development and workforce planning.
- Establish and enforce financial controls and reporting procedures for project operations.
- Oversee purchasing and procurement activities to support project requirements.
- Review supplier and contractor agreements to ensure cost efficiency.
- Monitor operating budgets, prepare monthly financial reports, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist long-term financial planning.
- Ensure operations comply with company policies, municipal permitting requirements, OHS regulations and applicable employment laws.
WHAT YOU BRING
Education
- Minimum a Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Business Administration, Operations Finance, or a related field.
Experience
- Several years of relevant work experience.
- Previous experience in budgeting, financial reporting, cost control, or related financial functions is required.
- Experience coordinating employees, contractors, suppliers, and business resources.
- Experience in construction or a construction-related business environment is an asset.
Skills
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Good financial and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make effective operational decisions.
