Job Description

Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Job Duties:
- Assisting clients with personal hygiene such as bathing, dressing, etc.
- Performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning and tidying the client’s room or house, changing bed linens, laundry, cleaning floors, dusting etc.
- Providing medication reminders
- Planning and preparing meals according to specific dietary requirements
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Escorting clients to appointments, shopping and social outings
- Helping and supervising clients with performing prescribed exercises
- Transferring and moving clients in a wheelchair or bed, utilizing a walker, cane or mechanical lift
- Turning, lifting, and positioning clients that require mobility assistance
- Assisting clients during mealtimes
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of leisure activities
- Reporting and documenting client concerns, incidents, and visit notes
- Administering first aid in emergency situations
- Providing 1:1 supervision
