Job title: Concrete finisher (NOC 73100)

Salary: $ 38.00 per hour (30-40 hours per week), 4% vacation pay

Position: Permanent and full-time

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Language: English

Start date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities

Tasks

·         Patch depressions and eliminate blemishes on newly placed concrete.

·         Assemble bids and prepare pricing proposals.

·         Run powered vibratory equipment to consolidate concrete.

·         Screed and level concrete surfaces to specified grade and depth tolerances.

·         Perform duties at elevated locations using scaffolding or suspended platforms.

·         Achieve required surface textures and finishes with manual and powered tools.

·         Set anchor bolts, steel plates, thresholds, and related embedments or fixtures.

·         Apply hardeners and sealers to support curing and surface protection.

·         Apply waterproofing and damp-proofing treatments, and rehabilitate concrete surfaces.

·         Mend, refinish, or remove and replace deteriorated sections of concrete structures.

·         Calculate material quantities and project cost estimates.

·         Review and interpret blueprints, site maps, drawings, and technical specifications.
