Job Description

Heavy Equipment Technician 

Our client based in Calgary supports a wide range of construction equipment, commercial vehicles, trailers, and specialized foundation drilling equipment throughout Western Canada. This role combines both shop and field service responsibilities with exposure to varied equipment and repair environments.

This position is permanent full-time, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday schedule. Overtime and regional travel may be required as operational demands dictate.

Compensation: $48-50/hr, based on experience and technical ability. A benefits package is provided as well as a pension program after 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment faults
• Perform mobile field service and repairs
• Complete inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Read and interpret service manuals and schematics
• Maintain accurate service documentation
• Work independently in field environments and customer job sites
• Support a broad range of construction and commercial equipment

Qualifications & Experience

• Heavy Equipment Technician – (HET) Certification.
• Experience with heavy equipment, commercial vehicles, and construction support equipment preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
• Hydraulic and electrical experience considered an asset
• Welding and fabrication experience considered an asset
• Valid driver’s license required
