Job Title – Food service supervisor

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (32 to 40 hours per week)

Wages: $17/ Hour

Number of Positions: 01

Language Requirement: English

Start Date of Employment: As soon as possible

Minimum Education Required: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Work Experience Required: Will Train

Job Location: 1025 2nd street west, Brooks, AB, Canada, T1R 0N9

Responsibilities:

• Oversee, manage, and organize daily operations of staff involved in food preparation, portioning, and service.
• Calculate and requisition necessary food ingredients and materials for meal production.
• Compile food order instructions for kitchen staff based on requests from healthcare professionals, patients, or other clients.
• Create and implement staff work schedules and workflow procedures to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Keep accurate records of inventory, equipment maintenance, product sales, and food waste.
• Instruct employees on job responsibilities, hygiene regulations, and workplace safety standards.
• Monitor and verify the preparation of standard and special diet meal trays, as well as the accurate distribution of food carts to hospital patients.
• Ensure all food products and customer service consistently meet established quality benchmarks.
• May be involved in hiring food service personnel and contribute to the formulation of departmental policies, operational guidelines, and budgeting.
• May assist with meal planning for cafeteria menus and evaluate associated food and staffing expenses.
• Conduct routine inspections of food preparation and service areas to ensure compliance with public health regulations.
• Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints to maintain service satisfaction and operational efficiency.
