Permanent Position: Construction Helper (NOC 75110)

No. Of Vacancies:  01

Start Date: As soon as possible

Main Location: Surrey, BC

Work Location: Candidates are required to work at various locations in Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver as per company contracts.

Wage rate: $24.00 per hour (35-40 hours per week)

Education:  No education required.

Experience: No Experience Required. On job training will be provided.

Language: Basic Knowledge of English.

Job Duties:

• Assist trades men in constructing, renovating residential homes and other wood and cement structures.
• Deliver or hold materials or tools to help tradesman and, help in other activities.
• Load, unload, and transport construction materials. Select tools, equipment, and materials from storage and transport items to work site.
• Deliver lumber planks, tools, nails, cement, glue, tiles, colour and other material on work site.
• Help cut timbers, lumber and/or paneling to specified dimensions, and drill holes in timbers or lumber.
• Assist in shaping, measuring, and assembling wood material, cement material, tiles and related activities.
• Operate various hand and power tools.
• Mix. Pour and spread material such as concrete.
• Clean and prepare surfaces.
• Assist team in completing the rough and finish stages of the stucco portions.

• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors, and pumps.

Working setting: The candidate should be available to work full-time in the day or evening or on weekends, overtime if required.

Working Conditions: Candidate should be able to lift weight (50lbs). Should be willing to work outdoors, indoors, rain, or shine.
