Job Title: Security Guard Supervisor
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Language Requirement: English
Wage: $18.50 per hour (35-40 hours per week)
Positions Available: 8
Job Duties:
- Supervise, co-ordinate, assign and review the activities of security guards
- Establish work schedules for security guards and co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
- Resolve work-related problems and prepare reports
- Hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
- Handle emergency situations
- Suggest the areas of improvement in providing security services to clients
Job Requirements:
- Completion of high school is required
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience as security guard is required
- Applicant must have valid drivers license
- Selected applicants will be required to provide evidence of security, first aid and CPR training upon hiring
- The security guard supervisors will be required to drive to various locations to oversee the work of security
guards
Skills Required:
- Standing for extended periods, combination of sitting, standing, walking
- Ability to supervise 5-10 people
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Flexibility and reliability
- Use of judgement in making decisions
