Position main duty
We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated Hotel Event Planner, responsibilities include planning, marketing and executing events of the Hotel, providing outstanding customer service and organizing memorable events that meet client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Plan commercial, entertainment and social events to comply with the Hotel’s long-term marketing strategies.
- Liaise with clients to identify their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction
- Organize/connect with the event participants through different social media
- Liaise with marketing, designers and other teams to promote and publicize events
- Work closely with the manager on streamlining the progress of the events
- Train and supervise the supporting staff hired for events
- Estimate and determine the budget for the event and to monitor the expenses according to the budget
- Evaluate the success of events and generate reports to management, especially in the case of commercial and/or marketing events
- Maintain warm, hospitable guest relations in all guest contact
- At least 1-year experience as an events planner in hotel industry
- College diploma in business, tourism or hospitality administration
- Previously planned and executed conventions/weddings/parties/corporate events
- Sales skills and ability to build productive business relationships
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- MS Office proficiency
- Mandarin-speaking is an additional asset
Qualifications
- At least 1-year experience as an events planner in hotel industry

Job Types
Full-time, 2-year contract,
Benefits
Hourly rate is $22/hr for 37.5 hrs/week, 10 days paid annual vacation.
